Being able to look at every message from last months bill..

I need to know if there is anyway that I look look at every message sent and received from last months bill. I know I can see the date and who, but in this situation I need to see the messages.

not without a court order, even then it may be 10 days max

That's ridicules that I cannot view my own messages.. I think that needs to be changed NOW!

Well, since you put it that way....

Verizon does not store your text messages for more than a couple of days. And like has already been said, they do not offer the service of retrieval of these messages.

For future text messaging, you can get apps from the marketplace that CAN keep a copy of all of your text messaging. There is a fee for this service, though. Handcent is one such app that offers this service.

Can you imagine if Verizon Wireless stored the actual content of text messages for an entire month? The bulk of that data is just ridiculous to think about...

You be sure to let us know when you figure out how the cell companies can do this without violating privacy laws.

Keep in mind, that there are 2 parties to every text.  The sender and the receiver.  What gives you the right to violate the privacy of the other party?  Just the domestic issues alone would be a nightmare.

From the Android Market, just search for sms backup and you will get lots of choices to pick from. If you need to backup your mms messages, you will have to search for one that has that ability. That feature will limit you to a paid application though. The last time I checked, the free backup applications only did sms messages.
