transfer texts from a broken phone

I'm trying to transfer/save texts from a broken phone.  I can pull them up on the web, but I can't save them or bring them into the cloud without accessing my broken phone.  How do I save my old texts before giving up the damaged phone?

Help is here to help you with saving your text messages, Cipota122. Are you using Verizon Messages +? If so, you will be able to restore them on your new device.
If your text messages are on the Verizon Cloud, when you get your new phone up and running, as soon as you set up your Verizon Cloud all your messages will restore to your device. Please see #6, under Using Verizon Cloud. http://vz.to/1LkHGtZ
