Why are there duplicates in my cloud contacts?

My contacts in Verizon Cloud is full of duplicates. I cleaned them out earlier this week, and they are back. How do I stop this?

Jgkeller, please ensure you're clearing your contacts of any duplicates before syncing with your cloud.
