Resist monoplization by Verizon and use free cloud services.

Here's the deal. We sign high dollar contracts for a smartphone and mediocre service. We are hit with fees, taxes, surcharges, and Verizon support is luke warm to say the least. To put it mildly,  Verizons automated and human support terrible!  Samsung phones come with Samsung Cloud which Verizon has blocked and removed to chase even more money from its consumers. Some customers are blindsided since Verizon makes no mention of Paid Cloud until contracts are signed and consumers are unable to restore photos, contacts, apps, and settings. Suddenly Verizon has the upper hand and forces consumers into additional expenses. I'm pretty sure consumers have lagetimate complaints if they wish to make contact with the CFPB, FTC, BBB, various utilities commissions, and the FCC. For Verizon to force consumers into additional expenses and intentionally remove Samsung Cloud, is a monopoly.  Consumers should send complaints to government oversight and regulatory agencies.  As consumers " we have rights too ". Cloud service should be included in the already inflated service costs. And as for Verizon, " save the scripted apologies". You will push consumers toward the competition with your nickel and dime greed. Good Job!

This post is from 2018..that name..did you really make an account to rant on a 2 year old thread..?

Google gives you 15GB of free cloud. Buy an unlocked phone if you don't want your carrier blocking anything. This has been known for years.

No one should be trusting a carrier cloud with irreplaceable photos anyway. Flash drives are cheap, external hard drives are cheap, 1TB internal hard drives are cheap.
