I just received a text message that you, Verizon, deleted my content and everything that I had saved on the cloud by “Error” With no other exclamation or where to go from here, what am I supposed to do to retrieve all that now I had years of photos saved.

I went to click on my cloud to manage mine only to find all mine was deleted without notice. I had been getting daily that it was updating. Never received any noticed that mine was deleted. I called today and rep said I now had to pay and it would be restored. However, it did not restore any data. When I called I was told how some email was orginal sent 26 October 2017 to my email. Which was not received in either of my emails. However, something as big as deleting "Cloud" of all the years (20 years) when something this big in the past had or has been done; I received several texts, alerts, emails and notifications. Why did I not receive anything? But you can flood my box about a new phone. I will receive not just 1 about what ever the "last phone" is but countless! Just not acceptable! This is how you show appreciation to your loyal customers? Oh by the way we are deleting your photos and well now in the future as a reminder of those we deleted you have to pay for the service!
Now the other part of this I was told my data/ pictures (so my memories, people, vets whom have pasted and those pics all gone) was deleted without me having knowledge). I entrusted YOU VERIZON! Not GOOGLE! With storage of my memories. Because I thought you could me entrusted. You as a company as you continue to grow are forgetting to give back to us costumers as much as your taking. You have grown so much you are starting to over look the things that made you the quality company you are. It was not just about beating the others but those of us that make you the company you are. I think this may be after 20 years and never having another provider the straw that broke the camels back.
I just signed on and there was an important information that listed you guys are unable to recover anything that I had saved, shocker there, I find this incredibly insulting that you are assuming I’m uneducated and just going to believe you “accidentally“ Just happened to delete all of my content at exactly the same time when you guys started charging for the service. Given half a chance I would’ve gladly backed it up elsewhere but now I’ve lost years of content thanks to you. Here we are supposed to entrust you with things that are important to save and yet you are the exact ones who just happen to delete all of it in “error“ and by error you mean on purpose

If it has been less than 30 days, sign into your MyVerizon account online and add the premium Verizon Cloud feature to your line. The first month is apparently free. Let the system restore your content, then download the content to your computer or another cloud service. Discontinue the premium Verizon Cloud before the free month expires.

Verizon has sent out notices awhile ago warning users with free cloud that they are discontinuing the service. Like Ann154 mentioned, it can be restored if it's been <30 days.
Personally I use Google Drive and suggest this as an alternative to cloud tied to a service. You get 15GB for free and there are old photos I saved years ago that's still there.
Murphyslaw, having issues with the Cloud is very concerning. I want to dig a little deeper into the message you received. I have sent you a private message. Please respond at your earliest convenience.
