weak vibration after froyo update

After updating my phone to Froyo, the vibration is very weak.  Does anybody know how to intensify the vibration level higher?

We updated our phone's and noticed the vibrate option was longer but not weaker than before. Have you tried a soft reset on your phone? If not, remove the battery from your device for about 10 seconds and see if that helps.

Thank you,

I have the same issue. The vibration is weak after the froyo update and the battery drains faster! It took so long to push froyo update and I was hoping you have tested it better! This is really annoying and I am thinking that I shouldn't have chose the android route.

I try your suggestion by removing the battery for 10 seconds to see if the vibration is back to the level before the froyo update and the vibration is still weak.

I used to put the phone in my pocket and I would notice the phone vibrating before the froyo update.  but now i do not know if the phone is vibrating because it is very weak vibration?

I see under Sound Settings and option call Vibration intensity, but it is not highlighted for me to change anything.  How can I change the intensity of vibration level?

You need to enable haptic feedback to increase vibration intensity. But that just increases the touch screen vibration intensity. It does NOT increase the intensity of vibration when you receive calls. Bcz of this issue I have been missing lot of calls. Verizon, can you hear us now?

Good morning everyone. Thanks for your input on this inquiry.

joehncpa, First, go to Settings -> Sound and Display -> Vibration intensity and make sure the slider isn't set all the way to the left, which disables the vibration even in above test. Set the desired vibration intensity there, then try the above test.

Then, invoke the phone and dial *#0*#. You don't have to pick up, it'll go to the diagnostics screen after you type the last #. On the diagnostics screen, touch the "vibration" button. The screen goes black and the phone vibrates. Touch the screen again to return to the diagnostics screen. Touch back to return to the dialing screen.

Thanks,
