The Fascinate was my first real Smartphone, and my first Droid... It is a great phone, you just have to know what you can change, and where. If you look under SETTINGS | SOUND and DISPLAY, there are a couple of areas to set things. PHONE RINGTONE (default) NOTIFICATION RINGTONE and then you can set individual ringtones for contacts.

you can play the song in sound player and hit menu. then set as.

you can connect the usb cabke, then go into the dropdown menu, then select usb transfer,

it's not a "droid".

You can connect to your computer, find your phone storage (should show up as a drive), then create a folder named media, then create sub folders named ringtones, notifications, and alarms, then drop your sounds in the appropriate folder.  Disconnect from the computer, reboot, and they should show up in the list when you go to set sounds.

Did You get it figured out??  Not sure what you meant by "sb card"...  "sd card" maybe?? Or the USB Cable?

You can do the wireless method like another contributor mentioned, or you can use the provided usb cable to connect your phone straight to your laptop and treat your phone (i.e. sd card) like another drive.  From there you can copy/paste or drag/drop your files back and forth.  Just plug in the cable, pull down the gray notification bar at the top, select "mount" and you are gtg.  Unplug when you're done.

Hope that helps!

BTW - This is my first smartphone as well, and it's a pretty darn good phone!  Yea, there are some issues as I'm sure you'll notice by checking the board.  Overall, it's pretty good.  Most issues can be addressed through apps or work-arounds and hopefully we will get Froyo soon and perhaps that will make it even better!  (as some others have stated it has by going another method).  The only things I did on my end is to switch to K-9 Mail (free app) because it works way better than the stock e-mail client and added the "Missed Call for Android" app (free) so that I would get reminders/notifications with missed calls or text messages.  Not sure if the new release will address these issues...

To assigned a specific ringtone to your text message notifications please open your text message application and then select Menu>Settings>Notification Sound and select the ringtone of your choice.
