Where's the Galaxy Nexus?!?!

Come on Verizon, give us a date!!  I know you just want to sell your previous RAZR and Rezound but no one wants that bloated crapware you put on the phones.  Stop stalling and just tell us when the G-Nexus is coming out already!!

All I can say is Ditto!!!!!!!!!!!!  If it was not for the network I would have been gladly on the Galaxy SII bandwagon on any of the other carriers.  I don't see ever leaving for ATT but if Sprint does their planned rapid rollout of their LTE network my next contract on my business lines could see a move.  Who knows in 2 years ATT's snail pace expansion may be complete.

I keep picturing a bunch of fat 70 year old guys with tophats smokin cigars looking down from a really tall building and sayin "Lets hold it a few more weeks..." ... So the euros have it now and the dang Canadians have even beat us to the punch with preorders today and a release on December 8th... I went to a VZW store earlier today to inquire, and 3 employees   jumped in overtalking each other with the same anwser, "we dont have any idea when it will be released" .. kinda funny and lousy at the same time.. People dont realize its not all about the hardware, its about timely updates from Google that will make this phone great...

If it has problems like this...

Volume

I would understand if Verizon is "delaying" it.  Though it would probably be Google/Saumsung doing the actual delaying to fix the problem as it appears to be a hardware problem(Effect can be done via bootloader).  So to say it's "not about the hardware" is fooling themselves.  Hardware matters since it HAS TO WORK first before software or anyone can do something with it...

Almost bought the GSM version, and I am glad I am waiting until the LTE version comes out to make up my mind between the two.  I will wait it out possibly longer before I have to place orders for my work place.

Been reading that its a gsm 2g issue causing the sound problem, and is being fixed... Ive also read issues with the Bionic that wont be fixed until a few months... A sound issue being one of them i think as well. A high pitched humming noise, and a glitchy focus on the camera ive heard about are 2.. Lets not bring quality control to this table. Iphone has has quite a few issues as well, poor battery life being 1 for many people. Its the Osborne Effect i truly believe...

Not to get people's panties up inside bunch. It happens while in bootloader. They have tested and can be confirmed. If an external force can make it happen while in its bootloader it's a HARDWARE issue, and a software fix won't fix it. The radios are not initialized while in bootloader and so it has more than just a 2G radio problem.

so vzw has a crystal ball that peers into the future... interesting... lol... that certainly sucks if it truly is a hardware problem, and not software like ive been reading... ughhh...

It might not be a crystal ball. It could be they found it during testing and it didn't pass the QC. It may be Verizon withheld the device to see how well it do in Europe, but got reports and noticed the same thing on their test models so they delayed it so Samsung/Google can fix it before they release it. There is a video out of a guy using a different phone and puts the Nexus in bootloader and you can watch the device toggle through the bootloader menus(volume down). If it was just software then that would never happen in the bootloader.
