Well, it seems like MDRAM4x4 & Reshnoor, think this is a joke & like throwing money out the window. Since it looks like they love Verzon & love their phones. To me, it's not a joke!!!!!!! I have elderly parents with health problems, I need a phone that actually works!!
I'm sorry, but I think VERIZON & SAMSUNG needs to step up to the plate & give us new phones of our choice that work.

well we have been here for a while
seen threats like for calsss action
seen people want new phones
ect ect ect

you have options, use them
go back to your old phone>sell the fascinate>buy a new phone
reflash it to the 2.1 rom, its out there
go custom rom, they are out there

I understand your frustration over the issues with this phone and understand how important it is to have a reliable phone. We have had multiple reports of users missing calls, text, and freezing on the Samsung Fascinate. We have reported these issues to our product team and we are working with Samsung to resolve this issue as soon as possible. I apologize we don't have a date yet on the resolution, but the software is still going through testing to ensure the issue is resolved.

If you really want to get Verizon's attention. deactivate the Fascinate and activate just a regular phone with no data plan. If enough people do that, they are going to lose money, and they will notice it. There is no ETF when you activate a different phone on the same number and drop the data plan.
The class action suits will take too long and possibly never work.
If you want to make a point, hit them in the wallet.

That is not acceptable. You are not providing reliable equipment and customers are paying big money every month to have a phone that works. Verizon sold the phone and provides the service therefore Verizon needs to make this right by the customers. As I see it Verizon is not living up to their part of the contract and so if the customer wants to opt out of their current plan they should be able to.
I would also advise everyone that is having difficulties to call verizon everyday numerous times a day until they replace your phone with a comparable one. Do not fall for resetting your phone or getting another fascinate sent to as this is not going to solve your problem. This is just buying verizon time while the customer continues to not receive calls, texts and the multiple other issues known with this phone.
Another option along with the above is to report Verizon to your attorney general. I was able to find a tier 2 tech that listened to me and I am getting a replacement phone as should every other person that has a fascinate...

Z4driver wrote:I agree, either give us new different phones FREE (plus credit our bills) or let us out of our contract or we should all agree to file a class action lawsuit. I am NOT paying $107 a month for a phone that doesn't work.
I'd be glad to join in...

this phone is absolutely awful. what verizon is doing is wrong. with 2.1 the antenna barely worked now with 2.2 the battery doesn't. coincidence?! my hunch is that battery life was sacrificed to solve a problem with the radio in these phones. although the battery stats claim the screen is eating all the battery, when I shut off data and use wifi I get much less atrocious battery life. still not great though. I went to verizon and they gave me a new battery and told me its my fault for updating without reading the consequences of the update. **bleep**? I would love to see something done about this. has anyone tried writing corporate? what about a facebook group?
