This fee is fricking ridiculous. I do all of my bill paying online. It is insane, esp. since getting the DROID BIONIC my phone drops my calls, I can not keep a data connection. I pay an additional fee to use the Hotspot option and it never works and causes my phone to shut off. Not to mention that the wonderful 4G towers keep crashing. I have been a Verizon customer for 6 years now and I have 3 phones on my account. I am seriously think of changing providers.

Gee Tidbits, you sound like you're a Despizon employee. I don't care how "high up" you've worked yourself, I'm sorry to disappoint you ~ but I do NOT wish I could be anywhere you've been. You pretty much come off as a corporate suck and a pompous dillweed. I won't offer you a history lesson, but historically business wasn't conducted the way it is now. I for one am not dumb enough to keep paying more for less. I know a rip-off when I see it. When CEOs make more money than God you just keep selling us on the "hidden costs". They're not that hidden...

This conversation is old because it's not going to happen.
Now, when a number of options were available that would have allowed customers to avoid the $2 fee; the only "dumb" ones, as you say, are the ones that would have been too stubborn to avoid the fee, or the ones that won't shut up about it when it not going to happen anyway and it's a mute point.
That said. We (the consumer) did not "win". Companies always find other ways to generate revenue.
Enjoy your "victory". It's very shallow.

I know Verizon dropped the $2 fee for know, so I wonder IF they were going to charge me for paying with a direct withdrawal from my checking account, no credit card involved. They stated the fee was to recover charges from credit card companies. Just curious, 0k? I am sure they will revisit this problem again since they are in a really bad financial bind and are in danger of going out of business anyday now.

Enjoy your complacency. In it you fuel the problem of corporate greed. You seem to think it's normal for corporations to figure out ever new ways to financially rape the common man. Please ~ for your sake since you like it ~ at least ask Despizon to use a condom.
