Transferring pictures from computer to Fascinate

Hello all,

I need some help with this one...

I followed all instructions on how to transfer pictures from my computer to SD card in my Fascinate.  Only problem is when I go to my gallery they aren't there.  Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?  Maybe I missed something in my directions.

1. Connect via USB to computer

2. Select "Mass Storage" when prompted

3. Select "Mount" when prompted

4. Transfer pictures into "Thumbnails" folder under DCIM

5. Disconnect from USB and enjoy pictures

Is that not the steps I need to follow??

You can't access the sd card from the phone when it is connected as mass storage on your computer.  You should use your file explorer on the computer to navigate to the "new" external drive (the phone's sd card) that was created and locate the DCIM from there.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

I wouldn't put them there, I created a folder in the root of the card and put them in there. I think the folder you put them in may not get referenced by the gallery.

Do not transfer your pictures into the thumbnail category...

i usually put my pics in the 100media folder, a sub folder under sdcard/dcim. I'm thinking you may be able to make any number of subfolders under dcim, but i'm not sure. the card I have in my fascinate is the 32 gb card that came with my thunderbolt, so the folder names may be different, but the phn seems to access them just fine... If I access them from the file manager (My Files).

Thank you to the community members for your responses. Annoni especially made a great point about searching the files on your SD Card. Often times the pictures can be routed to "DCIM" File. This would be the best place to check.

Thanks,
