If I buy a Galaxy Nexus from a third party without a sim card will Verizon give me one when I activate it?

Yes, as long as the the ESN/IMEI was clear and can be activated on another account.

Ya i just activated my Phone it didnt come with SIM card but once i did it online ..asked me if I wanted a free sim card so it is on the way .
