kindly show me where i have defended verizon here. telling it like it is, is not defending verizon. i've simply pointed out that it could have been returned for a refund and contract cancelled, and that this is typical of updates with verizon. obviously, everyone here seems to believe that my posts are absurd. however, i hardly feel that pointing out that this is just how it is, has been, and likely will be with future updates, is defending them. i would say that it's more of a criticism of them. i've flat out advised people to find a different carrier in other threads, and it sounds like some of you may want to do the same when your contract is up. money talks to these corporations. they don't hear us.
So you think we should pay an early termination fee and be happy about

I still think the government needs to make carriers more accountable.
Back when I worked for a telco that provided paging and mobile phone
service (pre cellular) we had to get ICC approval for any changes in rates.
Time to real these greedy, useless carriers.

And that is a part of the whole problem...This is not supposed to be treated as a standard phone on the Verizon network....and it is being treated that way. Please do your research of what the Galaxy Nexus experience is supposed to be like....
I am more than aware of what Verizon's standard operating procedure is...and I am more than aware that we are in their typical operating fashions.
I think the pushing out of an update, with an expected 2-3 week final
delivery is just a bad business decision.
The fact that Verizon held the release date of the Nexus up for a longer
then expected time, then ignoring or claiming ignorance of any issues, when
on their own forums, it was stated there are problems, and then for
moderators and "VZ Favorites" to tell us to chill, that our anger is not
within the TOS, is a company showing their complete lack of compassion for
users that now have a less then standard phone, which we all paid a premium
dollar for. Even Google has taken the Nexus line back and sells it via
their own sales channel, leaving the CDMA versions out of the sales channel
again speaks to possibly how they feel VZ has horribly handled their
(Google's) flagship phone.
Disgruntled in Illinois and not a real keen Verizon customer.
I ❤️ my Nexus over all my past Androids. I am glad to keep waiting for a true and tested update. Thanks VZW for this great product and service.
Actually currently satisfied Verizon customer in Arizona.
Oh and AZSALUKI and others brought me down off the roof a few times back in the early Thunderbolt days. How about listening a little and giving them a little credit. They are helping you for more than VZW " tech support " is going to.
