I would check your phone services that are running in the background, that sometimes can give you a clue what widget is causing an issue

How many home screen pages do you have, and how many widgets are on those pages? Have you tried removing all but 1 of the home screens and all the widgets but maybe 1 or 2? Then you could add them back? Not sure if this would work, but it would be the first thing I would try.
