My wife updated her Fascinate the other night. Suddenly today when she tries to send a text she loses service and it won't send. It then gets service back and attempts to send again and knocks the service out and gets caught in this loop repeatedly. The only way to stop it and get out of the loop is to go in and force close messaging. Any ideas on what the issue is?
Has she shut the phone off and pulled the battery out, then put it back and in restarted it since the update? I have seen others mention that it has helped their issues.
Thank you NuDroidUsrr for your response. I appreciate your help.
@padraig,
Is your wife using a third party messaging application? I suggest you place your phone in Safe Mode and see if your wife's phone continues to freeze when she tries sending a text message. If the freezing stops then you'll know it's a third party application on the phone causing the issue. You will then need to remove the applications one at a time until you find the one that is causing the issue.
If the phone continues to freeze while in Safe Mode then I suggest performing a hard reset. Sometimes this is needed after a SW update and you mentioned the issue began after the recent SW update.
Please post back if you need further assistance after the suggestions I've provide and I'll will be more than happy to further assist you.
