I'm sorry to learn that your phone is inaccessible. If your Fascinate device is locked due to a forgotten pin, you can do a factory reset (alternate method) http://goo.gl/sNNXS to access device again. Please note that performing a hard reset will remove ALL data including the Google account, system data, application data, application settings, and downloaded applications.
Possible fix: remove the battery, let sit for a couple of minutes, reassemble and reboot.
This is an old thread, but I'm posting here for anyone finds this page when dealing with this problem in the future. It's happened to me twice. The first time, I reset the device as recommended by Verizon support, but this really is the death sentence. I was able to recover much of my data, but not everything, from backups, and I'm still missing some information.
I didn't want a repeat, so pulled the battery out of desperation, and it worked. I rely on my phone, as I'm sure you do too, so I hope this helps.
