I will echo all of the "be patient" responses here, but I will also note that Samsung's docks all require 2.2 for audio playback from the dock, so we better at least see that update. 
You could also consider that "official notice" since it appears on a sticker on all of these devices.
"Will not work until 2.2 update is released".
