Facebook contacts wont sync to Droid X

I have tried everything to get my facebook contacts to link to my Droid 4. My facebook app does not give me a option to sync them. I have tried just clicking on the people profile picture and it just takes me to their profile. I have installed and uninstalled the facebook many of times. It is checked to sync facebook in contacts and also in the Manage contacts it is checked to sync all. I went by Verizon and they were no help. I have e-mailed Motorola and Facebook with no luck!! If someone has any suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.
