Namely VZ Navigator...Costs $2.99 per DAY if you accidentally click on an address anywhere in the phone. Verizon, I can SMELL a class action lawsuit coming your way...

After you clicked on VZ Nav, you would have had to accept the terms and conditions of the $2.99 daily charge or the $9.99 monthly charge for the app to work. The fees are fully disclosed, so you would have been able to back out of the app to avoid the charge.

You can't set google maps or navigation as the default. They are stuck as bing maps and VZ navigator. You must copy and past directions from the browser or an email into google maps then get it setup.

Dude, not to be disrespectful but i think you are just trying to find a reason to complain . If you don't like the phone take it back. All you have to do is download google maps from the market and use it. Works just like it would on the Motorola Devices. Listen I've had the Droid1 and the DroidX, this phone is much better but you guys are going to let one little search widget stop you from buying it . Your lost.

It's NOT a little niggle. VZ navigator comes pre-installed on the phone. If you click on an address and click Navigate, it automatically opens and charges you $2.99. You can't make the FREE and BETTER Google Navigation your default. With all other android apps, if you have two applications that are competeing, it will pop up a selection box, but not with this one. It is coded the default at a root level and cannot be changed without installing a different version of Android.

From what I've read this will all be taken care of with 2.2.

If you hate it that much, take it back and wait for the update.
