Battery life on Nexus

I have the standard battery and extended. Usually by late afternoon it's down to 30 - 40 % and runs out of juice by 8 or 9 PM. I downloaded juice defender and it has extended my battery life quite a bit.

Are you still able to use you email accts & your calendar?  I am having a similar problem.  I use my email & calendar all the time.

I get an average of 12-18 hours depending on how busy it is. If I let my youngest daughter play with my phone she can drain it in about 6 hours. I don't use any "battery" apps.  All I did was change sync times, and turned off Google + contact sync.
