Thanks so much for trying those steps, troysteris & community.
If you get an error when attempting the above mentioned steps, what happens when you clear the application cache for the BackUp Assistant Plus http://bit.ly/OcISyy?
Once that is done, you want to soft reset the device (power off/on) and then try the sync again.
