Your phone number is a 10 digit number - did they give you the wrong number? I'm not sure what you mean by "too many 1's"?? Or do you mean the IMEI or ESN number?
Who told you this?

When some not all try to text my my phone area code shows as 11817 then the number. Should be just 817 unless call out side USA right. Seems it worse with at&t. But when I text another Verizon phone it sometimes says it's a land line and can't complete unless it's Changed to vm. Any ideas ? New s5 with the latest download.

Check your network settings - be sure it's set to LTE/CDMA. If someone is texting YOU, have them check your number in their contacts to be sure it is only the 10-digit number.
Have you traveled outside the US recently? Have your friends who are trying to text you traveled outside the US recently (necessitating that they use the country code to text you)?
