how to mupdate software manually

My galaxy s5 has not received any updates since March 2015.  It says my phone is up to date and I know it is not.  How do I manually get it to update?

Earyhlady, software updates are extremely important and we certainly want your phone to have the latest software. The last update was on 12/18/2015 and no worries, we have a great tool called the Software Upgrade Assistant so you can update your device using your computer. Here's the page with all the information you need to complete the update and please let us know if you have any additional questions. http://vz.to/20yD7C9

It brought me to the correct website but it doesn't tell me anything that I already don't know.  I go to my settings and then click the update tab which is beside the about phone tab and it checks for updates and then says it's up to date from March 2015 last updated.  I tried the Samsung website and it was no help either.
