broken video/ picture gallery

Some of my video's and pictures will not play/show.On the video's I get a black screen with what looks like a old film wheel in the background, with a lightning bolt going through the top. On the pictures its a sideways avatar with a lightning bolt too. Any idea how to fix this. this are pics/ videos i took or recorded on the phone, not ones that I have downloaded from somewhere else.

This is very strange tb81! I understand that this happens to only some of your pictures and pictures. What application are you using to play these movies or view these pictures? Have you tried a different application? If you upload to a Cloud service (Verizon Cloud, Google Plus, etc), are you able to see/play online?

Possibly a corrupted file. I'd pull a copy over to the pc. Then use a repair tool based on file extension. You can Google it.
