If Verizon truly does not want to lose its current customers, then answer this question Christina. Why is there an ad out by Verizon announcing the arrival of the Galaxy S5, stating it contains the new 4.4 OS when your current Galaxy S4 and S3 owners do not have it? WE ALL can see the marketing ploy here to get people to pay Verizon more money to get something the other US carriers have already given their customers. If you are truly a support representative, then answer that question straight forward. Your CURRENT customers want to know!!!
I understand people being unhappy or wanting to have an update rather than not having it. I get that 100%, but honestly what is truly ridiculous is the fervor which people are and the level of a problem this has supposedly created for them. IT IS A SOFTWARE UPDATE. You are OK, and don't beg please! For your own sake not mine don't beg. Your posts are obviously not going to make them come out with it faster. It will be released when it is released, and if nothing else call them or something more effective than posting on the community forum whining endlessly as this thread is.
I agree and if you read what the update actually is then you would not be wanting it so badly. It really doesn't do much other then change the numbers of your OS. There is nothing exciting about it to whine endlessly.
What is truly ridiculous is that we don't have the update. People aren't angry at Verizon because of features they want in the update, they're mad because we're the only company that DON'T have the update. I don't know if you've been reading or keeping updated with this thread, but I have and that's what I've gotten out of it all.
Also, a great example of this would be if you bought a laptop. The laptop model you bought is the Z Series. Every laptop in that series gets a free upgrade to Windows 8 but yours doesn't, and there's no update on if it will receive it. A little over a month later, the company sends out emails and starts advertising that there is a new laptop coming out with Windows 8 and lists all the new features, BUT still nothing on your laptop that you bought. I don't see this would be fair, but its exactly what is happening here.
People are angry here because the S4 doesn't have kitkat... and the reason being is because every single other carrier does have it. I'm one of the people that is pretty angry about not having my update. So before you say its ridiculous, look deeper into what's being talked about here. bond004 T1geRKat086
Obviously those last two guys don't get the point. No one is crying because of the features were missing. We're mad because we paid more for our phones then all the other carriers. We pay more for our service than any other carrier. Every other carrier updated the phone their customers paid for but not Verizon. Verizon is using the Lack of the updated as a selling point for buying a new phone. They are purposely not releasing what we all paid for so they can sell more new phones. It is a bad business practice for the consumer. I feel if I pay more than any other service I should receive better customer service not worse customer service. And the only way to make a difference is to voice my opinion and let them know I'm unhappy and my plans to move on. So get with the program.
Btw posting on a public thread is a MUCH more effective way for higher ups to see our discusst for their business practices. If you talk to a low level employee on the phone your complaint stops there and is never heard. This way there is evidence of your complaint and they can see the outrage their marketing plan is causing.
Everyone here knows KK will be released, later more than sooner it is just the way VZW does business and treats their customers. Until you walk in those peoples shoes what do you really know about the way this is affecting them or their daily lives?
