Anyone else having issues with the WiFi disconnecting after waking up phone again? I know there was an issue early on, which I never had, but I just downloaded JB a couple days ago and since then, whenever I am connected to WiFi, phone goes to sleep and upon waking it again WiFi is off....
I think I'm having a similar problem. Whenever my phone goes to sleep, my wifi is on, but it loses connection. Everytime I wake my phone, I have to turn Wifi off, and then back on again so it will connect.
I know Verizon wants me to use wifi when its available but I finally gave up because of this problem.
Go to Settings
Touch Wi-Fi
Touch Menu button
Select Advanced
Touch Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep
Make your choice from Always, Only when plugged in, or Never
I have mine set to Always and it never drops my Wi-Fi.
Just checked to make sure my setting didn't change with updat. Mine is
stilk set to always. Still turning off Wifi. Thank you for the input.

Hello MySIII, We want you to be able to get the most out of you data connections at all times! Is the WiFi feature completely turned off or has it lost the connection to the current WiFi network it is connected to? Does this happen every time you shut off the screen not matter the timeframe? Try duplicating this while in Safe Mode: http://support.verizonwireless.com/clc/devices/knowledge_base.html?id=59242. If it does not shut off while in Safe Mode this would indicate an application is interfering with the connection. Please keep me updated on the status.
