They did not look at the phone at all.  The note stated that they are not repairing out of warranty items at this time.  What I don't understand then is why did they have me mail it out to them in the first place.  I think it was just to pacify me.

No it was at Staples.  But even so, why should I have to pay $149 for something that is not that old, has not damage and stopped for no apparent reason.  I just think it is quite unfair to be penalized for something that could be/probably is a manufacturers issues.
