Why doesn't my mobile hotspot work?

I try to use my hotspot & it tells me I have to subscribe. We have a plan that's supposed to include it.

I don't use it often. It's been a year probably.

Thanks for the additional details. Do you have any other lines on your account? If so are they able to connect to the hotspot via their device? How much data do you have with regards to your current plan?
