I've been trying to install 4.3 for a while now. No matter what I try it doesn't seem to work. (I have a galaxy s4 16GB)
Kies 2.6 doesn't seem to do it. Kies 3.0 won't recognize devices that don't have 4.3.
Has anyone had this problem with it not loading?
If I try OTA, it will download the file, start the update (the little green android robot logo plus status bar shows up) and at some point thereafter it will fail.
Is there a manual way to do this or something?
Is or has your device ever been rooted or boot loader unlocked ....
If if either answer is yes you will need to return to complete stock to get the update
do you have an sd card installed if so remove it and try update
Kies can do a firmware restore you may try that to get back to a clean stock
But most likely you are going to need to hard reset your phone at least a couple of times for a good clean install once the phone reboots and setup is complete it will auto update ... do it over 4g it is much faster
if none of the above works it could be hardware related
To fix this issue, plug your GS4 into your computer with a USB Cable to download the Software Update Assistant.. link here:

Run the Software Update Assistant using these instructions:

Once this is complete, your device should be updated, with your data preserved.
