Samsung S5 stopped using default phone #

I have several contacts in my phone that I have multiple phone #s for. Up until last week, I could mark one phone # as default and it would always call that number when I pushed their icon on my Favorites screen. Now, when I push the icon, I have to select which # to call. How do I get this back to the way it was. I don't want or need to do video or HD calling, and I think that "upgrade" is what is causing this issue.
HELP!!!

You can disable or deactivate the Advanced Calling, do it both in the phone settings and via your account on verizonwireless.com to ensure it is truly off your account. Things should then revert to the way they were before, if indeed the Advanced Calling is what caused the issue.
