Turning advanced calling on or off does not help dropped calls. Both my husband and I have this phone. His is turned off, mine is on, both continue to drop calls.

Does not work. Husband and I have same exact phone. His advanced turned off, mine on, calls still drop constantly.

My experiences are very consistent now. With Advanced calling turned off the phone sounds and acts like most prior phones I have had. Connectivity and clarity of calls is pretty good to excellent. Dropped calls have not occurred. With Advanced calling on its a whole different world. My voice and my callers voice sound a little lower in volume. If I'm stationary at home or work, all is well. When I get out on the road and the phone has to make a cellular hand off to a different tower as I drive my caller hears a loud static whooshing sound followed by a drop out in my voice and depending on my speed I sometimes lose the call entirely.  Apparently Advanced calling has your call use the 4G LTE mobile data service for the call. If you encounter a weak 4G spot your in trouble. I'm not sure how quickly this can be resolved as this new phone was designed with an antenna to make calls and transmit data simultaneously only with Advanced Calling turned on. If its a hardware problem in the phone design, than a software upgrade won't resolve it. This leaves us waiting for Verizon to install stronger 4G LTE service everywhere. By then the Galaxy S7 will be on the horizon. To see why they are pushing for this Advanced calling to be the future, turn the feature on in both yours and your husbands phone and call each other from a stationary spot. You will see "HD" icon appear on the screen indicating you are in the middle of a HD call and you can hit the Video icon and enjoy a video call with each other similar to Apple's FaceTime. The clarity of the phone call will be tremendous.

this happens when we are at home. Not being rude but obviously you did not understand my comment. Verizon told us to turn off advanced calling and that would "FIX" the issue. Well, to test this theory my husband turned his off, I left mine on. (not yelling at you, trying to make point clear) CALLS CONTINUE TO DROP DROP DROP ON BOTH PHONES REGARDLESS OF ADVANCED FEATURE BEING ON OR OFF. This is not a call clarity issue, this is that these phones KEEP DROPPING CALLS ALL THE TIME WHILE IN A STATIONARY PLACE ADD I'M NOT DRIVING....WE ARE AT HOME. My S5 worked great ALL THE TIME, HOME OR OTHERWISE. Thanks for your advice but it dies not work.

Your not being rude, your just frustrated as am I and many others. Lets hope this all works out. Lets hope more and more people complain. Last week AT&T pushed out an update for the phone which addressed several issues. One was listed as "improvements in HD calling", we will see.

My wife and I are having the EXACT issues. Multiple hours on the phone with tier 2 advisors. All lie and say they know nothing of this problem. Get your act together real quick Verizon or you will lose a 16 year customer!

I suggest we go to Twitter. Social media is the best way to get their attention. That's what I just did. Maybe they'll get a fix faster. The more we let people know about this phone, they will have no other choice than to either fix the problem or pull it altogether. Husband and I are going back to my s5 Tuesday, still within our14 days. it's sad too bc I really like everything else about it, however, if you can't make calls without it dropping all the time or use data, at the end of the day it's just a pretty paper weight.

I'm actually getting HELP, at least they are looking into it. I've started tweeting and all of a sudden Verizon sorry and Samsung are all over the issue. If you want help stay tweeting @VZWSupport and @Samsungsupport

Funny thing is the people.in the forums started complaining about this a month ago. An informed consumer looks up products before spending money. Now you're complaining. If you had of read you would have held off. No sympathy.

Yep. I read the complaints about jelly bean and kitkat. I also read about  the solutions.  That's why i'm not having any problems with 5.0.1 (lollipop) on my G3.
