My Samsung Galaxy S5 won't charge and now the battery is dead. I have tried the charger in several wall sockets, in my computer, blowing into the charger and the phone. The battery symbol comes up with the lightening bolt on the black screen for a minute, but then it stops charging and the screen goes black. The screen never gets to the battery symbol with the green liquid at all. There isn't any water or physical damage to the phone This happened a couple months ago and went to the Verizon wireless store where an employee there said it would charge on the store charger so he said it was my charger, he also tried to tell that the difference between 3g and 4g is that 4g has a higher HDMI quality which is why my data bill kept going up (complete crap) I replaced the charger it came with to avoid the failure to charge from happening again. I have complained about this phone to so many reps its unbelievable. I don't like it at all but I will have to pay $237 to get rid of this piece of junk. HELP ME!!! I need a working phone.

@Fia321
It saddens me to hear you're not experiencing the best service with your Samsung Galaxy S 5! I would love to help.
What model charger are you using with your device? Have you tested the charge issue with a different charger? If so, what was your experience? Please test the device charge using a vehicle charger, if you have one to test with. Keep me posted so that I can further assist. Thanks!

did the new charger work?
apparently you're using data instead of wi-fi.

I use 4g all the time while out and about, there are only a few spots in my travel where it goes to 3g and my data bill does not go up. I have 2 gigs of data a month for a set price so why would your data bill go up unless you are going over your limit? Someone will have to explain this to me so I can learn. Mary

Hello acraftylady!
There are a few variables that could make your bill fluctuate, although overage is the most common. You can view your itemized bill online at My Verizon: http://bit.ly/xB4iTc May I ask, has your bill gone up recently?
Thank you,

My Galaxy S5, purchased on contract 9/2014, won't take a charge. I receive the following error: The connected charger is incompatible with this phone. To prevent damage to your phone, charging has been stopped. To continue charging, use the original charger and cable that were provided with the phone.
I have tried multiple chargers and cables which I have verified work with other devices. What can I do? Am I under warranty still?
