This is not accurate it shows nothing that Verizon is telling you to follow. https://www.verizonwireless.com/support/knowledge-base-210838/

12411, I understand that you want to block SPAM from coming through to your phone. The galaxy s8 does not have a blocking option for SPAM. You can only block contacts. However, you can definitely check out or premium SPAM Caller ID feature for assistance with avoiding SPAM contacts here > http://vz.to/2sY8UFN Does this help?

Tap the contact in recent calls, tap details, tap upper right 3 vertical dots, tap block contact. I'm pretty sure that is they way I've always done it on the S8+ although my last Galaxy did have the long press option.

As far as I'm aware on a stock Verizon S8/S8+ the answer is no unless you pay for their service (Caller Name ID, I think, I turn all that stuff off) or you replace the stock app with a better one from the play store or elsewhere. Personally I use a combination of the stock app and Google Voice which works pretty well although complicates things at times.

i just found that if you go to
Phone
Settings
Block Caller
you can either type in the number OR hit the "head" (contacts), then choose recent and tap the number you want to block and it adds it.

Followed that. Did Verizon rid of the report spam #'s, didn't see it listed?

Really now – this service should come included with the phone package Verizon Wireless Customer Support person – How does anyone expect to track down these spammers without the help of their customers? So how do we report text message spam or phone calls to Verizon? You do see where I’m going with this as a Verizon Wireless Customer.
According to Verizon, its new Android phones come preloaded with the Caller ID Name app, which pops up an alert after you receive one of your first phone calls to tell you that you have been given a free trial of its service, a $2.99 per month add-on that tries to match pictures and names with numbers that call you.

12411, I don't like paying more money for things either. However, it is definitely worth it to upgrade to the premium feature. We do offer ways to report spam to us. Read more here > http://vz.to/2aJHAjy Does this help?
