i do not have a google account and not sure what I need to do to get my contacts back I have a samsung phone

Loosing contacts is never the experience we want for our customers. Let's get this figured out. If not using Google we do have our own sync services called Verizon Cloud. unless you have them saved or in another account where they can be export/imported, they're gone.

We never want you to lose your content. If you are not using Google to backup your services, you may have used Samsung Cloud services or our Verizon Cloud services. Have you tried those options? -BrittanyC_VZW

Making sure that we exhaust all options to locate your contacts is important. How did you back up your contacts on your previous phone? Do you still have your original phone?
