Have an s5 works fine on WIFI at home.... s7 will not work on play store just sits stuck saying downloading when trying to update apps,,
Tried and 2ghz and 5 ghz on a BELKIN router.. It works fine for web browsing on EITHER
I tried signing into router as a guest and it works on playstore..
Loggin in as a guest is slower.. I would rather connect 5ghz and not have to sign in on webpage for access..
Anyone know how to fix this.. I see many people have this problem..

Does the Internet connection work otherwise on the preferred SSID you want to use?

I have this same problem...only works if I use data. My iphone to used work great.

Only works for Web browsing... won't work on periscope or play store. Works on play store of I login as a guest by entering password in browser.

Not being able to use WiFi to download Apps off the Play store is definitely concerning, JackTreehorn. It is definitely strange that it is only working on mobile data. Let's figure out what is causing this. Has it ever worked previously? What happens when you attempt to use the Play store on WiFi?

No it works fine on my s5.
Play store only works on wifi if I sign into router as a guest through Web
interface. If I connect directly to 2ghz or 5ghz channels Play store and
other apps do not work.
However Web browsing works on wifi on all channels and I verified my IP
address to confirm this.

JackTreehorn, we are not giving up until we get this working. Let's keep digging. Do you know if the 2ghz and 5ghz channels are configure? Any filtering on those channels?

There is no up filtering option even on my router. I also just tried
disabling router firewall still no luck.
