My old phone had a smashed display so I ordered a new one. I couldn't use the Smart setup to transfer all of my data but I had a recent backup that I used. Everything loaded fine except the only text messages in my message app that display the contact name are those from my phone contacts. All I can see are phone numbers. How do I get it to display all of my contact names?
Hello Margie1963! We are sorry to read that your old phone broke. We're glad that you have a new phone and that you were able to transfer almost everything. For names to appear instead of the number, you must have the number saved in your contacts. Have you checked if these numbers are already in your contacts? If they're not in your contacts, you will need to save them again. What service did you use to restore your contacts?
