My Phone Temperature

OMG!! My phone gets too hot to touch to my face. Why? Not only is my battery life down to 4 hours max and getting shorter,  I have to turn my phone off so it can cool down,so I can use it.,This,Galaxy S6 [removal required by the Verizon Wireless Terms of Service] !!

An overheating phone is definitely somethng we want to help fix as soon as possible. When did this issue begin? Do you notice that it gets warmer after using certain functions or apps on the device? Has there been any recent updates or changes to the phone? Please share some details as we are here to help.
