My Galaxy S 5 won't accept Text Messages from iPhones.. How do I fix this????

I recently set up my new Galaxy S 5... I just learned that I haven't been received text messages from my iPhone friends. Anyone else experience this? How do I fix this?

Did you have an iPhone or another Apple device before getting this phone? Did you disassociate your phone number from your Apple ID? Also check with your friends and ask they have the send as SMS option turned in their phones.

Congrats on your new phone Ringgirl56. I'm sorry you're not receiving text from your iPhone friends. Are you using a 3rd party messaging application? Do they have iMessage turned on or are they using a 3rd party messaging app? Are you able to send them text and others in your contacts?
