I use the default music player with a bluetooth speaker & in the car. The music will go quiet like a skipping track, but the music doesn't stop, it comes back in at the right point of the song. It's just as though it's randomly muted. I have looked online for fixes & I've cleared the cache partition twice. This helps the issue for a couple weeks, but doesn't fix it. I've had this issue since I bought the phone in early December of 2014. What should I do?

Try getting your phone closer to the bluetooth module in the car

I'm seeing a lot of vehicle bluetooth systems not working with the S5 posts.

I understand your reasoning, but I'm almost positive this isn't my problem. I keep the phone in the cup holder, directly under the stereo. Also, my car is a 2013 model, so it isn't like my stereo system is outdated. Thanks for your reply.

This issue isn't just happening with the car radio. I also use a handheld bluetooth speaker...still the same issue.

Interesting. I have a 2013 Subaru WRX and I know if mine is in the cup holder it works. In my left pants pocket it gets spotty

Then its most likely an S5 thing.

I saw another WRX talking about his S5 not meshing with his head unit.

I'm assuming it's an s5 issue, especially since clearing the cache partition helps the issue for a short time.
