No worries, glad it fixed it! Doesn't make any sense to why it does ... but this upgrade in general doesn't make much sense.

The refurbished phone will still update to Android 4.3 eventually.

Other than a couple of chargers not always working and my now fixed SD card issue, I haven't had any more problems with the Android 4.3 update.

I pulled my battery and I think it's working o.k. please fix the problem with my registration on this site. My husband is forwarding me these emails because all the responses to the posts go to him and not me, even though I'm an authorized account manager.

We want you to be able to charge your device and gain reliable service in as many places as possible crwcpa! How does the device respond to the original desktop charger? Is the vehicle charger a Samsung or is it a third party unit? Have you tried a battery pull since the update? Do you power cycle the device daily? What is your zip code?

dhp58, software updates are pushed to your device to give you the best wireless experience. It provides patches, which fixed software incompatible bugs and improved software performance to make your device more secure and it reduces conflict.  However, updates can sometimes conflict with other 3rd party applications downloaded to your phone, which will affect the performance of your device.

We hope that you reconsider your decision to switch to another provider and allow us to resolve this equipment issue for you. I recommend that you uninstall a few applications and power your device off/on to soft reset it. Keep us posted. If we're unable to resolve this issue due to manufacturer defects, we will provide you with warranty replacement device.

I wonder if anyone is doing any kind of independent research on what percentage of S4 users on the various carriers are having these problems. You and I may be the lucky ones, Ann; or we may be in the majority, and the people having problems, while numerous, may be a minority of users overall.

If a large enough percentage are having these problems, I don't see why VZW doesn't post 4.2.2 someplace for folks to download and, I guess, "downdate" to. But maybe the hardware simply can't accept a retroversion (seems unlikely); or maybe Google doesn't allow it.

Thanks for the additional feedback C5Vette. I'm sorry there isn't an option to revert back to the previous software. Are you stating that this is happening with every wifi connection and source? If you have completed a hard reset since the update, did you retain or readd all the same apps? If so, please test the wifi connection in safe mode. http://tiny.cc/yzfg6w

Yes, this happens with EVERY connection to wifi.  I LITERALLY cannot get more than 5 feet away from ANY router without it becoming unstable.  I performed the hard reset and checked the wifi BEFORE I added the apps back into the phone. 

I want to make it clear that the phone worked PERFECTLY moments before the update and always,(prior to the update) and hasn't worked properly since.

I'll check out your link and see what happens in safe mode, but I really don't think it will help.  I might add that EVERY time I connect to ANY wifi source, I get the security message.  I finally updated the security and I haven't seen that since, but it hasn't helped either....

I'll report back what I find out.  Again, I appreciate that you guys are collecting info, and I hope that you are relaying this information to the software design team.  This has been a painful update and I'm really trying to be patient for a patch.....
