Mobile Hotspot "can not find Mobile number"

I've used my phone (Samsung S9+) as a mobile hotspot before but when I try it today I get the message "Mobile number not found" what does this mean?

We always want your device to function as it should. Where are you receiving this message? Is it on your mobile phone or the device you are trying to connect to the hotspot?
