It looks like I cannot delete and reinstall. I'm using Verizon message app for the time being. But would like to get it working again

I had the same problem today. Rebooted the phone and still did not work. Around 4:30 PM EDST my messages started to come through.

Same issue. I would like an answer. The app updated about 30 minutes ago, and now its not opening.
I restarted my phone, disabled/enabled the app, and nothing is working.
Please report the issue when it says the app has failed, maybe they will get to it quicker.
