I have a relatively new (4 months) Samsung Galaxy S7. I updated to Nougat 7.0 three days ago. Now when I push the physical home button on the front of the phone, it takes 5-7 seconds to return to the home page.
I have done a restart in Safe Mode, turned the phone on and off, disabled the "two push" activation for the camera, and disabled S-Voice.
Still doesn't work properly.
Suggestions from anyone else who's had this issue?
Thank you.

Having a reliable device is a must, dennyerardi. Software updates are intended to improve your device. I too have a Galaxy S7 with the latest update. It is normal for performance to be hindered for a few days after an update due to background optimization. There was a performance mode added with the latest update. What options do you see when you go to Apps > Settings > Performance Mode? What is it currently set to?
