KitKat S4 Upgrade Issues

S4 was upgraded early Sunday AM (11 May 2014):

No email has been received on phone since (comcast), but outgoing email is fine.

Phone rarely runs on 4G - almost always very slow 3G

Internet connection drops all the time; apps continually suggest to try again when connected to the internet. This occurs in a variety of places where I have never before had trouble, notably in my home, where tablets, my husband's not-upgraded S3, laptops, and desktops all have stellar internet connecction.

Beginning today, day 5 after upgrade, texts fail repeatedly when sending. None have gone through.

The battery is used up at breakneck speeds as well.

With each passing day the phone seems to get worse and worse. Given that there is no ability to text someone, receive email, or use internet or internet-connected apps with any reliability, the phone is not very SMART anymore.

What is the advice for fixing? Is Verizon really calling this an issue with Samsung? Are they going to patch/fix it? Can't get anyone at Customer Service.
