Just done new system update and issues on GalaxyS20+ 5G

I completed the new system update for my GalaxyS20+ 5G phone and now when I receive a notification that I have a new message from any app, when I click it to open it takes me immediately back to my lock screen. Anyone else having this issue? I never had this problem until this latest update took place. Any suggestions?
