bearone21, we want to get things back to the way that it use to be on your phone. Do you have applications downloaded on your device? If so, did you update the software for those downloaded applications on your device, as well?

the s5/5.0 was purchased new in Apr '14 & replaced just after christmas 2015 with a note5.

the s5 apps were/are: 3tv, yahoo mail, chase, discover, usaa, weather underground, intellicast, southwest airlines, gasbuddy & default messaging.  i used chrome browser because what was on the pc mirrored to the phone.

i still use the s5 with wi-fi & all of these apps still update over wi-fi & these same apps are on the note5.

no fb, twitter or any other social media access.
