That is a great question. We do not have specific information on the total size of the Nougat Android System Update. We recommend contacting Android/Google Support to see if they can provide you further details on this Software. Let us know if there is anything else we could do for you.

The Nougat Update is roughly 2264MB in size and would recommend you have at least 2.5GB of available storage space on your device. I also have the Galaxy S7 Edge and is running Nougat currently. Best advise before a major update like this would be do to a complete backup of your device via Verizon Cloud or Google just in case something goes wrong or haywire with the update or your device. In addition, easiest way to create some additional space would be for you to go into Settings > Storage > Clear Cache Data. These are temp. files and cookies, etc that build up over time and take up unnecessary space. You will not delete or lose any personal data by clearing out the cache.

TheNatural, this is exactly what I'm looking for! After having deleted nearly all the apps I don't use, clearing the cache daily, and putting everything I can in the SD card, I still only have 2.11GB available. I guess I will have to remove more apps. I don't know what else to do. I have delayed doing the Nougat install because of all the issues it created for S7 users. I never installed Kit Kat on my S4 because of the major problems it caused for S4 and S5 users. It bricked an Android tablet I had making it virtually useless.
