After the Oreo update, I can no longer update any app notification sounds. They have whatever sound I previously gave them.
In the tech write-ups for Oreo, we were supposed to get Notification Channels and Notification Dots. I have neither. The settings menu was supposed to change to have some sort of combined "Applications and Notifications" directly under Settings. Not there. When you long press an icon for an app, it's supposed to include an info button that also gives you access to change your sounds. Nope, not there. All that's happened is I've lost the ability to change my notification sounds for anything but system apps.
Since this isn't the way Android Oreo is supposed to work and it seems unlikely that Samsung altered what Android intended for this, it must be a Verizon change. How/where do I manage my notification sounds?
