How to easily access songs on SD card-Samsung Galaxy S4

I have the Samsung Galaxy S4. I have set it so that all songs are loaded onto the SD card. My issue is how to then easily access these songs. If I click the "Music" icon, it takes me to the phones memory which has a couple of Samsung songs on their and one that i downloaded from itunes. My question is, how do I easily access these songs to listen to them? Is there a way to connect this location to the music icon on the screen so that when I press it, the songs on the card play? thanks!!!

Locate the My Files icon (if its not on a home page you can find it in the apps drawer).

Click to open

Press the Menu button

Select Settings

Select Set music directory

Choose the location of your music and then press the Set here at the top of the phone.

Have you tried Google's "Play Music" app? It reads from the micro SD card, and its easy to use.

Thanks! I was able to do this. But now how do I easily access them to listen to them? If I hit the ”Music” button like I used to, it shows the 2 songs I have as ring tones. None of the songs that are on the sd card show there. I want to be able to press the music button and have it look to the SD card for the songs.  Thanks again.

Google Music is free to use and play your own music. I use it to read some songs from my micro SD card. There is a $9.99/month subscription music service option, which is not necessary to use the app.

I went into google play and click on "My library." All that is there though is the same 3 canned songs that came w/phone. I did see in settings where I can pick between "on the device" or "on the sd card." I picked "on the sd card." But it still only shows those 3 songs...If I go to "My folders" on my phone and work my way down, I do ultimately find all my sd songs under

"my files" "Android" "data" "com.samsung.music" but don't want to have to do that every time!

That is a good thread. I didn't even think about mentioning that I had loaded my songs on with my Samsung USB cable.
