Google has a find my phone option.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

bluelago708,

It's important you're able to locate your phone and I'll be happy to help. Have you lost your device or has it been stolen? Can you tell what's the reasoning for tracking your phone's location? What is the make and model of your phone?

my first time reaching out to this verizon community.  I see many questions but have yet to see and answer???  what gives? the amount of searching I am doing on here I would be better off just filing a claim and getting a new phone.

I thought that by posting a question, and seeing many of the same question have been asked there would be a flood of answers,?  some helpful, some not so much.  what I have found is more quesions?

Ann154 ready gave the answer.

When an Android device is lost, you go to Android Device Manager, sign in with your Google credentials and it works like Find My iPhone does for Apple.

There is no TV "ping it from the towers" when your phone is lost. Only law enforcement can request that if it's for a case. Chances are they aren't going to go to the trouble on a lost phone case. This is why insurance is there.

Possibly it is because the question(s) asked is VERY vague. There have been answers given in this thread. Have you given them a try? When a question such as "how do I track my phone" is asked without any further information. There isn't much which can be offered which wouldn't take multiple pages to convey.

Do you currently have the phone? Did you lose the phone? Before losing the phone, did you set the device up in order to be able to be tracked? ALL of this is information which would be needed in order to give a useful answer.

For example, if someone asks me "how do I track my phone's location?" I would say "I use Life360" which is a cross platform app you install on your phone so that people you give permission can find you if needed. If you have lost your phone and have not already installed this app on your device, this method would be useless to you. If you don't provide that information, my "answer" is not very helpful.

Google and Apple provide a service which can track your phone. You have to "opt in" to this service in order for it to work. It seems that people don't like having someone tracking them without their permission. This is the reason you have to "opt in". When many people first get their phone and they see this tracking message during the phone's setup, they routinely decline or opt to set it up later and then never do so. Those same people then ask how to track their phone after losing it or having it stolen.

This statement makes me think you phone is lost or has been stolen. Prior to losing it or having it stolen, did you set the device up to be found if the need arose? Is it an iPhone? Is it an android phone? A little guidance from you would give others the ability to actually provide the help you seek.

You will notice in each of the above support pages, there are steps which should be taken BEFORE you need to find your phone. This is mentioned during the setup process of the device. Unfortunately, many people do not like to take the time during setup since they have not yet lost their device. Good luck.
